Showcase Instructions & Applications

2011 SYSTEM SHOWCASE




Before you begin, read these instructions -

  1. Instructions on the entry form supercedes all other information.
  2. New for 2011 - All entries must be in digital format on a CD / DVD.
  3. The entry package submitted to the RPA must contain the entry form and supporting documents in .pdf with all of the information filled in and digital photos in .jpg. Failure to follow this format will automatically disqualify the entry.
  4. Submit only one project per category, one category per project and one project on a DVD / CD.
  5. Fill out this form completely as instructed or fill out Online Application.
  6. Do not submit more than requested and use only this form and any materials requested.
  7. Do not insert application and photos in a binder, presentation folder or photo album. Digital format for everything.
  8. Provide the project owner or contact name info as indicated for verification of job (by RPA office)

Deadline for submitting: RPA must receive by November 24, 2010. Applications will not be accepted after this date - no exceptions.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. You must be a Contractor member (any member type for Innovation category) of the Radiant Panel Association.
  2. You must not have won an Award for the last two years in the category you submit.
  3. The project you submit must be operational at the time it is submitted.


JUDGING and SCORING procedure

Your entry will be judged by a board of reviewers familiar with the industry. It will be scored in three areas with a point system of 1- 10, 10 being the best. Entries receiving an overall score of less than 7.0 will not be eligible for an award. Judges can only evaluate the project on what the entrant submits.

· Presentation: Completeness of the Showcase application / Project description / During & Finished Photos/ CAD or neatly drawn schematics /Appearance and adherence to instructions

· Technical Merit: Proper application of equipment / Workmanship

· Impression: Appropriate Professional design / Appearance of installation

A project must obtain a score of 7.0 points or better to qualify for an award. The project with the overall highest score will receive the Judges Choice Award. All finalists will be honored at the RPA Annual System Showcase Awards Banquet Dinner.

The awards recipient must be present to receive their award. If the recipient does not attend the System Showcase Awards Dinner, the RPA will ship the award with shipping charges prepaid by the recipient.
