An association of manufacturers, distributors, designers, dealers and installers of radiant panel heating and cooling systems and components.

ORGANIZATION INFORMATION

AUTHORITY

The Radiant Panel Association (RPA) derives its authority from and is directly responsible to the RPA Board of Directors elected by the general membership.

PURPOSE

To facilitate communication and cooperation among those interested in the advancement of the radiant panel heating and cooling industry primarily in North America.

OBJECTIVES

  • To build and maintain a membership that represents the radiant panel industry.
  • To encourage good relations among Members and to provide effective public relations for radiant panel heating and cooling.
  • To establish industry standards of equipment performance and installation.
  • To provide training and educational aids for personnel in the radiant panel industry.
  • To promote the value of radiant panel systems to the consumer.
  • To acquire and disseminate useful and accurate information about the radiant panel industry.
  • To establish and maintain cooperative relationships with associated industry organizations primarily in North America.
  • To assist in the establishment of regional chapters of the Radiant Panel Association.

ORGANIZATION

The Radiant Panel Association activities are guided by a volunteer Board of Directors. The board is composed of 12 Members. The board is comprised of at least one representative from each of the membership categories. Vacancies on the board are filled by a nomination process and general election by the membership. Committees are formed from the membership to define and manage RPA programs and activities with approval of the Board of Directors. The Executive Director manages the day-to-day affairs of the association.

OPERATION

The membership meets annually at which time the fiscal position, progress and future planning is presented by the Board of Directors and Committees. The Board of Directors meet at least twice a year to consider budgets and prepare program goals. A monthly newsletter, "Radiant Panel Report", communicates the activities of the association and industry to the membership.

A President, Vice President and, Secretary and Treasurer are elected by the Board of Directors from the board members. The normal term of office is one year however an officer may be re-elected to a position.

At any meeting, a quorum consists of a simple majority of Board Members. No acts or decisions of business may be conducted without a quorum.

FINANCES

Funds are raised through membership dues, literature sales, training aids, and trade shows. An Annual Budget is prepared by the RPA Staff for submission to the Board of Directors for approval. The Executive Director disperses expenditures.
